Southwest Regional Business Director
Baxter's BioScience division is a leading producer of both plasma-based and recombinant clotting factors for hemophilia, as well as biopharmaceuticals used to treat immune deficiencies, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency and other blood-related disorders. Baxter also produces vaccines for the prevention of infectious diseases, as well as biosurgery products used for homeostasis and tissue-sealing in surgery. Baxter BioScience's breadth and depth of expertise in recombinant protein manufacturing, plasma fractionation and proprietary Vero-cell vaccine manufacturing technologies set it apart from other companies in these fields.
We are looking for a Southwest Hemophilia Region Business Director to manage the tactical/operational daily activities of the Hemophilia sales team in the Southwest region of the BioScience division. Additional responsibilities include:
•Drives the implementation of team strategies to ensure the attainment of regionally focused objectives.
•Plans, directs and controls the sales and business activities for the region to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives.
•Prepares quarterly and annual regional forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential.
•Ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies and good organization/time management skills
•Oversees contracting with Regional Specialty Pharmacy providers and deals with all major accounts to ensure customer satisfaction.
•Directs staffing training and performance evaluations.
•Partners with sales support and marketing in activities such as sales promotion and training.
Job Requirements
•The successful candidate must have strong management experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in the biotech field.
•Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare sales experience. Advance degree preferred.
•Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation and presentation skills.
•Must have experience creating and implementing annual sales budgets and forecasts.
•Candidate must demonstrate business acumen and knowledge of sales processes as well as strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
•Ability to organize and maximize information on sales leads and integrate this information into the strategic sales plan.
