We currently have a exceptional opportunity available in Dallas for a claims leader. Our client is industry leader writing all lines of property & casualty coverage in Texas and multiple other states.
Responsibilities
This position has clear and distinct accountability for business results of the claims department.
Responsible for the direction of three claims teams (property, casualty, & litigation) to ensure consistent delivery of services that meets or exceeds customer expectations and complies with regulatory and company standards.
Resolves complaints, problems, and coverage questions.
Conduct claim file reviews and audits.
Authorize appropriate authority levels for claims staff.
Responsible for all management/administrative duties of claims staff with direct reporting responsibility of 3 and overall staff of 10-15 adjusters.
This includes performance evaluations, establishing objectives, and participation in selection of new hires.
Provide daily transaction reports, large loss reports, and review/ approval of larger claim settlements.
Provide continued training and employee development to team members and ensure proper communication of claim department policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years of commercial multi-line claims experience with at least 5 years of claims management experience.
Will have both technical strength and operational track record in less than 3 companies ideally-
Must be a leader of people and have demonstrated success with hands on management of a commercial claims group.
Degreed with advance insurance education preferred.
